For purposes of pricing, what counts as a bag or box?

1-person lift.

A box is any item or set of items that is in a cardboard or plastic container that can be safely carried by one driver and must be below 20lbs. We ask for help to ensure the quality of the donation by checking for any breaks, cracks, or rips in the box prior to the driver’s arrival. Also, if there are glass wares or fragile items, you are more than welcome to wrap the items, mark the box, or inform the driver at the time of pickup!

For purposes of pricing, what is a medium item?

1-person lift.

A medium item is a piece of furniture, accessory, or device that can be carried, safely, by one driver. Examples: Dining room or desk chairs, end tables, stools, ottoman, Rugs (5x7 or smaller), Wardrobe boxes, or similar items which can be carried by 1 person.

For purposes of pricing, what is a large item?

These are items requiring 2 people to lift but not requiring special equipment to move.

Examples: Standard six dining table (6 or less seats), Dressers, sideboard (buffet), standard desk, a couch/loveseat, Rugs (larger than 5x7), chair (with motor/electric, recliner), Sectionals by-piece (each piece of the sectional is charged separately), or items of a similar nature that need to be removed separately.

For purposes of pricing, what is an extra-large item?

These are items requiring 2 or more people to lift and/or special equipment to move.

Examples of Extra-Large Items are: Major Appliances, Entertainment Centers, China Cabinets or Similar, Wardrobes, Dining Room Tables (8 seats or more), Executive desk, Recliner Couches (with electric motor), or similar items requiring at least 2 people to lift and/or special equipment to move.

For purposes of pricing, how are specialty items charged?

Items which need additional consideration.

The standard pricing structure is not intended to account for all items that our partners are able to pick up and an extensive list would not be possible due to market variations regarding both capabilities and pricing. Special-item pricing is intended to be applied only for certain items which prove to be especially cumbersome or challenging such as pianos, pool tables, hot tubs, walk in freezers, and other similar items which may require special equipment or additional personnel to safely remove. The charges for these items are determined by the driver conducting the pickup based on fair market pricing for the pickup of that item in the market. When possible, it is best practice to reach out to the support line so that a more accurate estimate can be provided prior to the date of the pickup.
